Drug overdose sends three teens to hospital

Three Abbotsford teens were taken to hospital Sunday night after a possible GHB (Gamma Hydroxybutyrate) overdose.

Constable Ian MacDonald with the Abbotsford Police says this once again highlights the dangers of street drugs.

“You don’t know what you’re getting. At the end of the day you’re trying to take something that is going to alter the way that your body would normally react. And certainly I think that’s part of what the young people got unfortunately last night.”

The teens are expected to survive but it’s not known how much damage the drugs did.
