RCMP_CrestWebsiteRCMP has suspended a search for a swimmer reported missing near the Nahatlatch river earlier this week.

Police received a report Monday late afternoon about a 50 year old man from Burnaby who was swept away by the river current.

The man wasn’t wearing a life jacket and was last seen being drawn into the rapids.

Police, search and rescue, and other agencies combed the area for two days but failed to turn up any trace.

Hope Victim Services are working with the victim’s family.
