Abbotsford councilor wants quicker decisions on rezoning issues

One Abbotsford councilor is hoping to change the way council handles rezoning issues.
Currently, council often defers a decision following public hearings, but Councilor Dave Loewen says it’s not helpful to developers when they constantly wait on giving the green light or not.
He thinks unless there is new information about a project that comes to light during the hearing, council should try and make an immediate decision.
