votingElections Canada says your voter information cards are now in the mail. Dorothy Sitek tells us this is information you need to know.

“Why it’s important to know why your voter information card is on the way is because unlike in the BC provincial election, in the federal election you MUST report to the poll that’s assigned to you.”

She says the first thing you’ll want to do is check and make sure all the information on the card is correct. It will give you all the information you need on where and how to vote. Advanced voting days this year fall on the Thanksgiving long weekend, October 9-12. You CAN vote today if you want to or if you’re going to be out of the country on October 19th. You need to go to an Elections Canada office and get a special ballot.
