Police standoff in Abbotsford

A police standoff in Abbotsford that started last night has come to an end.
Police were called to a home on Mayfair Ave and Cottage Lane around 5:30pm…a 66 yr old man who had warrants out for his arrest had barricaded himself inside the home, and at one point threatened to blow up the house, but emergency responders turned off the gas supply. The man’s daughter showed up and tried to go inside the home, but she was taken away from the scene.  The man was also eventually arrested under the Mental Health Act.
