busAbout 200 people per day are riding the new Fraser Valley Express, which BC Transit says is a little ahead of their predictions for the early going.

Manager of corporate communications John Barry says they expected things to be slow to start, but says they’re pleased with the ridership and says the numbers are trending upwards.

Barry says they haven’t gotten much in depth feedback, but have heard a couple of things.

“Some people have asked for maybe some more options for where they can buy fare products, so we’ve been trying to work on that for them. I think people are looking maybe for more expansion of service for weekend hours as an example, so that’s something we’re definitely going to be considering.”

The Fraser Valley Express is also included in BC Transit’s trip planning tool, which was expanded last week to include Mission and Abbotsford.
