Fraser-Canyon-1The snow pack feeding into the Fraser River is at a record low for this time of year according to the River Forecast Centre.
Hydrologist Tobi Gardner says that means there’s very little flood risk.

“The flows will get to about maybe bank-full, but we don’t expect to see major flooding unless of course there is a major rain event or an extended period of extremely hot dry conditions.”

Gardner says we did have some high river levels back in late March because of an earlier than normal melt, but says that’s tailed off.
