Another child luring attempt in Chilliwack

There has been another disturbing incident in the northeastern part of Chilliwack where a man tried to lure a young girl into a minivan.

May 17th at about 3:30 in the afternoon a 12 year old girl was approached by a man in a white mini-van who offered her a ride. The girl refused and ran away.

A few weeks ago the Chilliwack school district issued an advisory about a similar incident near Hazel street on April 30th involving a red minivan in this case.

RCMP are looking into whether there is any connection between the incidents.

The suspect from May 17th was described as a 50 year old man with a long skinny dark brown beard wearing a dark reddish brown cowboy hat, while the previous suspect was an older man with a long white beard.
