rogers road trip

I’m still having a ton of fun on my Road Trip Adventure, presented by O’Connor RV. I spent the day today at the Harrison Hot Springs, looking for Sasquatch and doing a ton of other fun summer activities. Check it out:

On a day that started out looking like it was on the verge of being my only day of bad weather but finished with blue skies and sunshine, I was reminded again why I love visiting Harrison. 20 minutes north from the highway, nestled between towering mountains and at the water’s edge, Harrison provides one of the best getaways in BC without having to drive for hours to get there.

After an awesome breakfast of hash browns, toast and bacon, I started the morning with a nice walk along the beach out to the actual Hot Spring. Although it was cool to see, I didn’t stick around too long as the sulphur smell was less than desirable. I opted instead to rent a bike from Jamie’s Quadricycle Rental and go out to hunt for Sasquatch! After a little bit of detective work, following clues laid out on the street, I was able to track down a Sasquatch, sitting on a bench outside of a local shop.

If you stop by Harrison this summer, you’ll probably notice a giant floating water park in the lake. My curiosity got the best of me, so naturally, I had to go check it out! Harrison Watersports provides a rad inflatable playground for the lake every summer, and starting next week they’re open full time. The course will have you feeling like you’ve jumped in to the set for the TV show, Wipeout. I’ll definitely be going back on a warmer day to do some more playing.

Harrison Hot Springs has awesome things going on all summer that you won’t want to miss. Sasquatch Days is happening on June 27th & 28th where there will be war canoe races, a BBQ, cultural displays, and more. The Festival of the Arts runs from July 11th to the 19th. Also check out the Dragon Boat Festival on July 25th. For more information about upcoming events, check out the Tourism Harrison website.

Tonight I am off to Sunnyside Campground at Cultus Lake. If you want to win the same road trip I have been on this week and experience the thrills I have experienced, enter the bonus code on the Country Club: SASQUATCH (expires tomorrow at midnight).
