Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have made Hollywood history, becoming the first married couple to dominate the US box office since Bruce Willis and Demi Moore did so 34 years ago. Reynolds’ Deadpool & Wolverine has taken the top spot, earning $494.3 million domestically since its release on July 26. Close behind is Lively’s It Ends With Us, which premiered on August 9.

The last time a married couple achieved this feat was in 1990, when Willis’ Die Hard 2 and Moore’s Ghost were the top films in the US. Ghost went on to become the second-highest-grossing film of that year, while Die Hard 2 secured the eighth spot.

In a heartwarming twist, it was recently revealed that Reynolds contributed to a scene in Lively’s It Ends With Us.
