Harrison Hot Springs, BC – Mayor Facio’s Message to Visitors

April 6, 2020

With spring in the air, tourists are still taking to the hiking trails and beaches despite the looming threat of contracting or spreading the COVID-19 virus.  Harrison Hot Springs is a major tourist destination, normally welcoming up to 700,000 visitors each year. But for now, the Village is closed to visitors.  In a video posted on social media earlier today, Mayor Facio makes a plea urging visitors not to visit at this time, “For the health and safety of our residents, public works crew, and for yourselves, please do not visit our community… We will welcome you back at another time.”

Harrison Hot Springs remains closed to visitors with all public amenities either cordoned off or locked up and Bylaw Enforcement Officers are on duty to assist in enforcing Public Health Orders.  During this Easter long weekend, please stay at home and stay safe.
