This morning, the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for the 2020 Juno Awards.

In the only country category, for Country Album of the Year, the nominees are:  Dean Brody for “Black Sheep;” Aaron Goodvin for “V;” The Hunter Brothers for “State of Mind;” Meghan Patrick for “Wild as Me;” and Dallas Smith for “The Fall.”

And a few more country artists have made the final list of nominees of other categories, open to all styles or genres of music.  Tenille Townes is nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year as well as Songwriter, The Reklaws are in the Group of the Year final list, and The Hunter Brothers are contenders for Breakthrough Group of the Year (which was won last year by Washboard Union).

As a side note, Lennon Stella, who was part of the cast of the TV series “Nashville” and is the daughter of the husband/wife duo The Stellas, has several nominations in various pop categories and will be one of the performers on the awards show.
