Yesterday members of the FVRHD made a big donation to the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundatio, which is the official charity of Abbotsford Regional Hospital. The gift was made in support of a new regional Simulation Lab that will be situated in the Learning Centre of the Hospital.

The donated $370,250 to help get the Program off the ground.
The Lab has been the passion project of the Abbotsford Simulation Group (ASG). They are a multidisciplinary group led by Emergency Physicians, Nurses and Respiratory therapists, committed to Education and Patient Safety. They have identified the need for advanced supplementary training to help ensure that our communities in the Fraser Valley continue to receive top-level medical care. The new Simulation Lab will be a state-of-the-art regional education centre.

Although the Simulation Lab will begin operations in March 2018, help is still needed in order to complete the project. “The Fraser Valley Regional Hospital District supported the Simulation Lab because we believe in the importance of ongoing training and education in order to provide the best medical care,” said Mayor Henry Braun, Chair FVRHD. “We still need backing from the public to raise the last $100,000 and operate the program to its full potential.”

Help them reach their  $500,000 goal! Support Abbotsford Regional Hospital today and make a difference in your community. You can donate at www.fvhcf.ca
