That’s the theme for this year’s Fire Prevention Week, which starts this weekend. The focus is on trying to ensure that smoke alarms are installed in, or near, every bedroom in the house, so you can wake up faster if there is a fire.
Here in Abbotsford, there will be a community wide open house next Wednesday, where you can go into any local firehall and learn more about fire prevention. Abby Fire Rescue will also be paying visits to local schools throughout the week.
