IIO investigating after man dies in care home in Agassiz

(Submitted by Jill Drews/NEWS 1130) A man living at a care home in Agassiz has died from what RCMP believe to be self inflicted stab wounds.  Mounties were called to the Cheam Village Care Home after six this morning to help a distraught man. An officer was cut while taking the man into custody. The Independent Investigations Office (IIO) is investigating because an officer was involved.  The man died on the way to the hospital.
