head-cedar_edited-1Born in Matsqui, British Columbia, Brad has deep roots in the Fraser Valley. The grandson of Dutch immigrants, he was raised on the values of hard work, sacrifice, integrity and determination.

Brad began his career in government and politics at the federal level. As a Communications and Forward Planning Advisor to Abbotsford MP and Minister of International Trade, Ed Fast, Brad assisted in expanding trade opportunities for Canadian companies. He also worked extensively with the Conservative Caucus on Parliament Hill, experiencing first hand how national decisions are made.

Back home in Abbotsford, he has been diligently working to develop and promote new opportunities in the agri-business sector, one of the region’s largest economic drivers.

Brad is a recipient of the Deputy Minister’s Award for excellence in policy development and his professional background extends to the fields of communications, public relations and policy development. He is also bilingual.

Brad holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of British Columbia and a Master’s Degree from Carleton University, specializing in governance.

In his spare time, he enjoys staying fit, following rugby and working with several local and national organizations. These include the Abilitas Foundation and Bethesda Christian Association. Brad and his wife Kathleen reside in Abbotsford.
