A wildfire on the west side of Harrison Lake has now grown to 35 hectares.  The BC Wildfire Service says the wind has created challenging conditions for fire crews, and as a precaution, RCMP have asked campers at the nearby Wood Lake Campground to leave.  They’ve also closed the West Harrison Lake forest service road.  No official evacuation order is in effect though, and no homes are currently threatened.

The fire started Sunday afternoon and is believed to be human caused.
