Calgarians were on edge early this afternoon after a funnel cloud was seen around in the city and in the nearby communities.

Environment Canada has since ended the tornado warning but a tornado watch remains in effect for several nearby communities.  There were no reports of any damage or injuries.  The severe thunderstorm also brought golf ball-sized hail to central Alberta.  To read and view more of the thunderstorm – courtesy of CBC News in Calgary – visit here.
