anglingStarting today is putting a hold on angling in streams and rivers in the South Coast region, although it looks like some of our Fraser Valley waters will be exempt.

It’s to protect fish stocks that could be vulnerable from low flows and warm water temperatures.

The Fraser, Harrison, and Chilliwack Vedder rivers aren’t included in the ban, as the province believes they’re suitible for sustainable recreation fishing.

However no angling will be allowed in tributaries of these rivers.

The ban will be in place until the end of September.
