Suspect in four robberies arrested

Last Thursday Abbotsford police arrested a man suspected of being involved in four robberies in a six day period earlier this month.

Russell Andrew Amos surrendered after a two hour standoff with police following the most recent incident.

He’s now charged in connection with robbery of a South Fraser Way pizza place July 10th, a Sumas Way gas station July 12th, a beer and wine store on Hocking Avenue in Chilliwack July 13th, and a Sumas Way restaurant July 16th.

In each case the suspect either showed a weapon or implied he had one.
