Child luring charges laid against Abbotsford man

Charges of child luring and exposing a child to sexually explicit material have been laid against Robert Koenig of Abbotsford.

He was arrested Thursday after an extensive investigation and search of his home.

The investigation began in Utah where the parents of a 12 year old girl found pornographic images and correspondance on her computer.

The messages were supposedly from a 15 year old boy in Vancouver but further checking showed that the suspect was a man from Abbotsford.

The electronics seized from Koenig’s home are being examined but in the meantime Koenig has been released with orders to not have contact with anyone under 16 years old or to be in parks, playgrounds, recreation centers or places a person under the age of 16 might be expected to be present
