Fatal pedestrian accident in Abbotsford

A 19 yr old man has died after being hit by a car in Abbotsford last night.  It happened at the intersection of McCallum Rd and Marshall Rd at 9:40pm. Police Cbl Ian Macdonald had some sad news to pass along this morning.

“The young man went to hospital…we were receiving status updates.  Regrettably, we got the update at 2:15 this morning that he had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.”

Witnesses saw a longboard on the ground beside the young man…..no word on whether he was riding it at the time. The driver of the Honda Accord, a 20 yr old man, stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.  He was obviously shaken up.
