IHIT says can't conclude homicide involved in death of 14 month old girl

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team say there isn’t enough evidence to conclude that 14 month old Alexcia McKamey of Abbotsford was a victim of homicide.

The young girl was found in medical distress in a Chilliwack home September 20th of 2013, and despite efforts in the local hospital could not be revived.

An individual was arrested during the early stages of investigation but was never charged.

IHIT says despite an extensive investigation they could not conclusively determine a cause of death.

Sergeant Stephanie Ashton says the family has been advised of the findings
